I have tried several products to help keep my rulers in place while doing ruler work on my domestic sewing machine. I find most help a little but not much. My rulers still tend to slide. However, these Handi Gadget strips work really well. They actually help me keep my rulers where they belong. Granted, they are rough enough to scratch other rulers or abrade fabric so you have to be very careful with them (hence only 4 stars), but I am so glad I found them for the rulers I have the most trouble with.Love these for the back of all my quilting & sewing rulers. They can be cut to the size you need, lay flat against the fabric, and the hold is perfect to reduce slipping while cutting. These are a bit abrasive so I would not use them on loose woven fabrics (chiffon, lace, gauze)... but since those fabrics are not usually used during quilting- it works great for me.it provides the grip I needed and stayed on. It is not easy to see through and wish it were sheerer.I really like these. They are somewhat clear so that I can still see my ruler lines and they have a sandpaper like grip to them. My only drawback is that you have to be careful that you don't let it touch the batting because it kind of snags (grabs) the batting if you sit it off to the side and it serves it's purpose in keeping the ruler from sliding, but makes it a little more difficult when doing straight line work to slide your ruler down. You have to pick it up from the fabric.I'm using long arm rulers and domestic qulting rulers on my domestic machine. (I have a high shank machine which lets me use the bigger long arm rulers.) So I have to move the fabric and keep my rulers in the same place. It was kind of tricky. These simple grips changed the game for me. Not only do my rulers not slip, I can use the rulers with these grip sticks on the back to help move my fabric. I'd have to say, probably one of the best things I've bought for quilting this year. Thank you Handi Grips!The grip on these strips is amazing. It allows the ruler to firmly grip the fabric and both remain in place while I cut my fabric. I will put pieces of the strips on my rulers for ruler work free motion quilting. No doubt they will work perfectly. I will definitely order more.Works just like advertised. Nice to have just in case. One of those things you think, if I had that it would be so easy”I’ve been renting cars while I travel. Using my phone for navigation. I use this clear adhesive to prop my phone in front of me and it doesn’t slide or fall off. Then the adhesive comes right off and easy to transport to reuse for next car. Just perfect!!,This product grip the rulers so well that there is no slipping when machine quilting. I added it to rulers that hadAdherence in the ruler to increase the grip.
