Easy to install-for someone else. If you need this to open jars, you might need someone else to screw in the plate under the cabinet. Just saying.I had it mounted with the V closest to the wall so I could lean on it and apply pressure without fear that the jar might slip out, toward me, and spill. Once you master which way to turn the jar at that angle, you'll use it all the time.I struggle to open any jar because I have pain when I hold the jar with my left hand while trying to twist the lid with my right hand. This gadget solves the problem altogether because I can slid it into the gripping angle and use both hands to twist off the lid! A lifesaver when no one else is in the kitchen with me while I'm cooking. Wish I had discovered it long ago. The price point was reasonable too. It was simple to install too.You must think out your install. If done properly it works like a charm on big, small, medium jars, and best part you cannot see it under the cabinet. Nice price too. It was easy to adhere under one of her kitchen cabinets and it a breeze to use, not much force or strength needed. Recommended!It's invisible under the kitchen cabinets, but there when you need it. I didn't need something else cluttering up drawers. The V shape automatically fits any size, no adjustments necessary. Just slide the cap forward until it fits and twist. I used the enclosed screws to mount it. I don't know if just the sticky would last forever, and I knew I'd lose those screws if I didn't put them in at first.My hands are definitely having a lot of issues with opening things now a days. It's always at the ready to use, out of sight, and keeps both hands free to hold those stubborn jars. The double row gripper teeth will easily grab any smooth metal jar cap without slipping. It's a V, the teeth are only on one side of the V, so how does it grab the cap? I pondered that for a while before I could see how it works. The more you twist, the more it wedges into the V, and the tighter the teeth grabs the jar or bottle cap. Very clever design. Thumbs up to the inventor.Having said that... this is the best product for opening any size lids and so easy to use once installed. Just place the jar under the opener and twist the jar to the left. What could be easier? Installs nicely under the top counter with 3 screws. 4 1/2 stars. I take away 1/2 a star because it's twice the price it should be. On a essayé une myriade de produits qui ont tous échoué, d'une façon ou d'une autre. Les gros élastiques glissaient, les serre-pots demandait de la force pour serrer, les ouvre-pots à batterie n'ouvre pas un pot qui est trop coincé, trop gros ou trop petit etc. Alors le plus simple est le plus efficace: des dents pointues dans un support blanc caché sous l'armoire. On entre le pot de façon à ce que les dents "morde" sur le couvercle, on tourne le pot dans le sens horaire et clac s'est ouvert merci bonsoir.Un conseil: ça ne sert à rien d'utiliser l'adhésif qui vient avec l'appareil; c'est juste pas assez fort pour le tenir en place. Il faut le visser avec les vis fournis. Pour ceux qui ont justement des problèmes de force dans les mains ou de tenir un tournevis, il faudra l'aide de quelqu'un qui peut le faire. Mais une fois que c'est bien vissé sous un comptoir, vous n'aurez plus besoin de quelqu'un d'autre pour ouvrir les pots!The opener I received looks like a cheap early version of the opener advertised. It was shipped in a clear plastic bag, it did not come with any instructions or screws and unlike the opener advertised only has holes for two screws (the advertisement shows 3 screws holes). One of the screw holes is in an almost impossible place to install the screws (right in the V of the opener). The positioning of the 2 screw holes allows the opener to wobble when trying to use it (the advertisement shows 3 screw holes in much more logical locations). I should have returned this as soon as I received it but I failed to compare what I received to what was advertised and I tried to mount it without instructions and now I am stuck with a piece of wobbly junk.Wow!!! First try with the worst jar to open: ''Diana-sliced peaches'' jar from Costco. Without any effort, in a small twist, it was open!!! Can't beleive it. Easy to install. Forget about old tricks like elastics... Strongly recommand. A must in a kitchen!!! Thank you to this family owned business.Fantastique.
