I've been testing Conjure Tough resin and now gave this Conjure Rigid version a try. This resin has the same super low shrinkage rate but less elasticity than the Tough version (35% versus 50%), so in theory this resin is better than Tough for printing things that need to maintain their shape, like a model with multiple parts that need to interlock. Also supposedly it reproduces detail better than Tough, but I think they both produced good-looking prints. After testing, I settled on these settings:[Photon Mono X 6K] (70% Power)Rigid Beige: 3.4s Normal Layer / 23s Bottom Layer @ 50um LayerRigid Gray: 3.0s Normal Layer / 21s Bottom Layer @ 35um Layer(As usual, your lift height, speeds, delays, etc. will vary depending on your supports, FEP tension, etc.)For comparison, Conjure Tough Black resin prints 0.9s faster per layer, and their Tough Beige prints 1.3s faster than this Rigid Beige on the same printer.I think the reason this takes longer to cure is because it may have a little more UV blocker in it, which translates into less light bleed, making details sharper and clearer, hence the claim for producing better detail. If this resin really does produce crisper details than Tough, the added print time is totally worth it for miniatures. But, considering neither I or my customers notice any significant difference in print quality between Rigid and Tough, and the Tough resin is technically...tougher, I don't see why you'd ever pick Rigid over the Tough resin.Conjure Rigid is the best resin I tried so far and I tried a lot.I have Conjure Rigid Black and it makes great detailed, tough as nails prints, as advertised and is actually black, not transparent black. My new go to resin, finally I can bury the multitude of others, getting what I always wanted in just one bottle.Great detailed technical parts that are functional and durable, unlike anything before. Even the mixture of other resins( you know whose) doesn't come close. The best ready to use, tough resin for functional parts which don't break and can take enormous abuse.Settings on my Anycubic Photon SE:Layer Height: 0.05 mmBottom Layer count: 6Bottom Layer exposure: 30 secsLift Speed: 3mm/secRetract Speed: 4mm/secLift height: 6 mmExposure time 4.6 secsAt these settings the details are excellent! This is a thicker resin, and is best printed at higher temps, like 88 degrees Fahrenheit, which makes it flow better during the print. It also takes a little higher exposure times (it's black, you know), but its indestructability makes it all well worth it.I can't wait to try the white Rigid which should be faster to print.Buy it, you will never have to look for anything else again...I'm picky about resins and I test a LOT of different products. I print primarily prop parts with mechanical assemblies, so I need durable resin with good dimensional accuracy. My goto has been Resione tough resins, which are still my top pic. However, Jamg He Conjure Rigid is VERY VERY GOOD! I had no problems getting prints using the recommended settings, exposure is a bit slower than other "engineering" resins at around 4 seconds on my Phrozen Sonic Mighty 4k. But the prints!!! Dimensional accuracy is right on, shrinkage is minimal and parts fit with my usual .01mm tolerance is great. And the color and surface is amazing! The grey is a nice cool grey, and the black is by far the blackest resin I've used. Jet black, semi-gloss surface, and very opaque (probably the cause of the longer exposure). These look just like injection molded parts, aside from layer lines that are inevitable. It's very slightly flexible, like molded plastic, and not at all brittle. I can shave/carve with a sharp knife just like styrene or ABS. This is unquestionably my favorite black resin, especially at a cost about the same as many standard resins. Really good stuff, I'm sold!Update after using it for a couple weeks: after changing out my dying fep I started to have problems with parts detaching from supports. The new fep may be too tight? Regardless, I’m finding that I have to use larger supports than usual (.05 contact instead of .03), and bumped exposure up to 4.8. Still hit and miss, especially if I print multiple items. I love the way the prints come out, but bumping down to 4 stars because of difficulty with sticking to the fep and failed prints. My original review stated that a received an expired bottle, but someone experienced with this resin gave me the wrong information. I have now been informed that the date on the bottle is the manufacture date. The resin prints decent. I'm new to resin, so I haven't printed very much. However, the finished parts once washed and cured scuff easily as they have an almost flat surface finish. It's pretty strong though.very good, strong and opaque photopolymer! I am delighted! I will only buy these from now on!I ordered Tough and after it shipped ChiTu Systems Store contacted me to say that Amazon may have made an error and sent the Rigid and to let them know if they did and when the resin arrived I notified ChiTu Systems Store and sent a photo and they sent out the correct resin and said to keep the Rigid and it prints beautifully and I've had no problems. I did some tests to verify settings and the suggest were dead on. I had ordered the tough to print charms for key rings but printed them with the rigid and tested by throwing them on a linoleum floor repeatedly and the suffered no damage.Using a Mono X, had nothing but success. Not sure the color matches the name, but since I paint everything anyhow, it didn't really matter to me. Ho provato ad abbassare a 4,5 sec e secondo me va meglio.
