This is a terrific book and has a lot of answers for sewing affectionados on all levels. I've sewn for 47 years, work with over a hundred brides per year as well as over 200 prom girls, homecoming girls, pageant girls and other assorted formalwear- as well as everyday mundane alterations and repairs. All this to say that I'm on top of the latest trends both in the fashion world and the tools to bring about the fabric adjustments to meet those trends. This book is an excellent source of ideas for tools that aren't always available at the local fabric store but are a definite help in the sewing workroom. These tools are all readily available on the internet. As to the charge that they are written by a manufacture spokesperson- so? A "thinking person" can easily research the type of item it is and find alternate manufacturers. Furthermore- whatever happened to thankfulness??? I'm thankful that someone brought some of these tools to my attention. These same manufacturers spent money designing and bringing this item to the market. They now were fortunate enough to have someone think enough of their items to mention them in a book. The book is available on Amazon for a few pennies over the shipping cost. Well worth the investment for anyone that has an ounce of thankfulness in their bones. If you can't use the book- gift it to someone who can.
