The utensils have a wooden handle and the spoon or spatula ends are silicone. The versatile set comes complete with a small cheese grater,wisk,pizza cuter and a brush for basting along with measuring spoons and cups. The bucket to place all the utensils in is plastic and holds them very well. You have the option of hanging them as they come with hooks as well,but you would need a peg board or or something the hang the hooks from. I also love the color they came in,the lite green really looks nice. I used the spatula this morning and found it a little hard to flip an egg. With its smaller size from the normal spatulas I have, it was a little harder to get under the egg,but with the smaller size it works better in smaller pans as well. I was worried about the silicone getting to hot while cooking but so far they are holding up great. Haven't used all the utensils yet,but looking forward to trying them all out. I gave a 4 star because of the smaller size of the utensils.Update ..Over all, I do really like them. I did finally used all the utensils and I really like the feel of them,they are lite weight,hardly notice the feel when using them,and I wash them by hand,they are easy to clean also.This is a lovely set and overall well made. I think highly giftable and perfect for someone who's just moved into their own place and doesn't have everything they need for the kitchen.I feel I should mention a couple of minor things tho:The pizza slicer wobbles and almost feels like it could fall apart, but hasn't.The spatulas/turners are both very small, I've included pics with a tape measure in case you want to check this out.To preserve the wood handles I'd not put these in the dishwasher.Perfect for new home owners just staring out. Love these. Silicone utensils are so much nicer on your pots and pans. These get you excited because they do so well it makes life easier! The way they can get the food out of the pans without leaving so much behind is amazing! Get this set! You won’t be disappointed!Even the measuring cups and spoons are nice! They are nice and round and easy to use. Easy to clean! I’m very glad to replace my old set that was more difficult to clean with ledges inside. Multiple measuring inside was a horrible idea. One nice smooth bowl to clean is the way to go! Everything you need to fill your kitchen drawers with useful cooking utensils is in this box. Including a round bin to hold everything if you wish to leave it on your counter top. Well, almost everything. Measuring cups, spoons, pizza cutter, grater, and the hooks don’t really work too well in the holder. There you have it! Too much stuff!A restaurant worker since I paid my way through college over 30 years ago by working in a kitchen, training the kitchen staff, or directing managers who managed a team of cooks, I’ve had the opportunity to work in the QSR and full-service industry, and I learned early and often in every restaurant cooking on high heat that silicone or wood spatulas work best to prevent “the meltdown” and avoid damaging precious (and often expensive) skillets, pots, and grills. I chose this one on the variety but finished with the color (this one is mint green). The set includes a tall holder that holds all the (heat resistant) spatulas and tools, the measuring cups and spoons. Also included (and essential for any kitchen - home or gourmet restaurant) is a large batch of hooks, a hand-held grater, tongs, a whisk, a poultry and butter brush, and a pizza wheel cutter. I appreciate the wood handles and the economy of having ALMOST every utensil in easy reach.I am in love with this set and, since receiving it, have replaced my other utensils with it. I honestly wasn't expecting much from the whisk, but I used it a couple of days ago to make blueberry muffins and was impressed--yes, the 'wires' are silicone, but they did their job.They stand up to their claim of heat resistance, and they feel very solidly constructed. My only dislike is that their container is thin plastic and easily tips over if you're not careful.As with all wooden tools, do not soak these in water. Honestly you shouldn't have to worry about caked on food; I've been using them daily, and they rinse off easily. One of the things I like best about them is that they do not stain. I made spaghetti the other night, and we all know how sauce can stain--it all came right off. I would absolutely 100% recommend getting these for your own kitchen!
