There are many of these types of tools out there I took a chance on this one. I’m a noob when it comes to some new things but this got the bolt out but it’s definitely china quality even though it held up for now.I had a stripped M2x2 screw for XPS 9550 Display cable bracket. Tried Moody Tools screw extractor and super glue first with no success. I was not comfortable drilling inside a laptop at such a small screw but was left with no choice. Fortunately, this screw extractor kit worked like a charm!I own another similar kit that I picked up through a professional line, and I'm disappointed with this product. The fit and finish is what I'd expect from a low end product. Some of the bits fit into the bit holders okay, and some are very sloppy. In my experience with this type of extractor, the hole size must be within a small range in order for the extractor end to grab well enough to extract a screw. Since the bit has its own drill end, I expect that these bits will not fit well and be as effective as a well toleranced tool would. This was going to be gift for my son-in-law, but I'm returning it and looking for a better quality product for him.It took a bit of time and effort but it eventually got the screws out.Unfortunately, these didn't work for me. The problem was with the material the screw is made of, not these tools. I'm sure I'll find a use for them down the road...Works well for removing damaged screw’sThis is a must have even if you don't work with tools all the time..this tools well eventually get used and is very durableOnly 5 pieces in box. Not surprising as some pics in the description showed 5 and not 6. Therefore 4 stars. Haven’t used these yet but bought them to replace a single extractor of the same design I bought years ago. It worked really well for me and saved my bacon many times. Unfortunately I broke that old extractor working on a 40 year old motorcycle last weekend. BUT it was worth every penny even if I had only gotten one use. That extractor was the only thing that worked on this particular situation - head broken off of oil filter bolt. I tried the dremel a slot method, welding a nut on method, and a two piece extractor with no success. This type of extractor bit in and saved me having to destroy the (irreplaceable) housing to get the bolt out. That was a single extractor bit in one size I bought years ago. These are 5 in varying sizes for barely twice as much. A bargain even if they break at some point. Hints to new users: extractors should always be run counter clockwise for drilling and for extraction. Aka reverse on your drill or screw gun. Also use a drill a screw gun to drill the hole, but I prefer inserting the bit into a socket wrench or 1/4 inch hand driver when extracting. Especially with bolts on cars and bikes. You want speed to drill your hole. But you want torque to extract the screw or bolt while the extractor bit has a good bite. I consider extractors sort of disposable (one time use usually pays for itself easy) and these are cheap enough, and included two of the mid size which is the most useful. Happy with the purchase.Stripped screws are the Bain of my life. And there is always one in any DIY project. I bought these in the hope of removing a screw in a kitchen cupboard. They are great value for money and didn’t break in any way while using them; they are made of strong material. But for the life of me I could not get them to work. User error cannot be ruled out.Let me tell you though I would not be defeated by this screw. Two tantrums and one snapped cupboard handle later...that screw is out. Because there is one thing a screw cannot escape - a bigger hole than it went it to. I threw that screw in the bin with pleasure and sat triumphantly eating kettle chips. Now I must leave you to wood fill the bigger hole I created. The worst purchase I’ve ever made, I never write reviews on products but these were so bad I had to. The thread on the extraction side is basically non-existent when they are new, and when you try extract a screw it blunts the thread even more. It’s as smooth as a dolphins beak now, in fact a dolphins beak would probably be better than theseManaged to get out three deck screws that were rusted and had no heads. Destroyed most of the included bits (in particular the drilling sides) taking out the three screws. As ever you get what you pay for. Essentially a disposable kit but did achieve what was intended. No instructions was a bit annoying. Both drill bit and screwed portion must be used in reverse. This piece of kit I have bought for those screws that have been damaged. I have not used it yet, so will come back and write a review. Hopefully it won’t grate and loose shape like other drill bits I have used. They look like they will do a good job. Looking forward to try.Update : does not work - very disappointed. Just damages the screws further making them impossible to come out.I needed to change the blade on my seldom-used plunge saw. Unfortunately the original screws were apparently made of cheese and rounded off with only a slight bit of pressure (I only use hand tools when changing blades to try and avoid exactly this happening!).This little kit has proved it's worth in one use. For such a cheap price it has saved me a lot of angst and barely delayed me at all since it was delivered next day. I doubt I'll need to buy it or anything similar for a good few years as they seem pretty sturdy and well made, and come in a decent little case to slot into your toolbox.
